Greenspoon Marder and Heather Burke invite you to a regulatory update on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 1:00 PM the Ellu Gallery in Grass Valley. Please join us for this COMPLIMENTARY program to discuss the most important state rules that Nevada County farmers, manufacturers, retailers, and other cannabis businesses should know now.
State and Regulations
Heather Burke will be giving an overview of the new state laws and regulations, and will providing a practical checklist of things you can do to prepare for the transition into regulations.
State Water Board Regulations
Sarah Smale will be presenting on the State Water Resources Control Board’s cannabis policies. A checklist in conjunction with Ms. Smale’s presentation will also be provided.
Corporate and Business
If there is time and interest, Heather Burke and Sarah Smale will also discuss benefits and burdens of various company structures (i.e. LLC vs. C corp vs. S corp) for new businesses forming in anticipation of local regulation and why corporate governance (i.e. how you run your company) is critically important to protecting yourself in the regulated era. The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.
