San Diego, CA – June 28, 2018 – Greenspoon Marder attorney, Kelly Hayes , was a featured speaker at Thomas Jefferson School of Law for the American Constitution Society on Thursday, June 28th . Ms. Hayes spoke alongside Professor Alex Kreit , a leading expert on illegal drug and cannabis law. She has worked previously with Professor Kreit as researcher and editor for his casebook, “Controlled Substances: Crime, Regulation and Policy”.
Ms. Hayes is an associate in Greenspoon Marder’s Cannabis Law practice group. She works on an array of cannabis-related matters including, state and local licensing applications, regulatory compliance, zoning and land/use issues, and business litigation. In 2015, Ms. Hayes assisted in the formation of the first cannabis agricultural cooperative in California, and she is currently working on licensing applications in the cities of Long Beach, Costa Mesa, Oakland, San Bernardino, San Diego, Los Angeles, and the Counties of Humboldt, Mendocino, and Monterey. Ms. Hayes has remained active in drug policy reform throughout her career by attending various conferences and symposia as well as assisting in academic research related to drug laws.
