Las Vegas, NV – July 19, 2018 – Greenspoon Marder attorneys, Phillip Silvestri and Adam Kemper , will be featured speakers at the Business of Marijuana in Nevada , presented by the Seminar Group, taking place in Las Vegas July 19th and 20th . Mr. Silvestri is both a speaker and Program Co-Chair. His lecture is entitled, “Cannabis Beyond Nevada,” and it will be a comprehensive update on the cannabis industry in states other than Nevada. Mr. Kemper’s lecture is entitled, “Employment Law Considerations for Canna-Businesses,” and it will be covering a range of topics including wage and hour compliance, startup and early contract issues, and safety issues.
Mr. Silvestri focuses on the representation of clients in highly regulated industries. His practice includes representing clients in the timeshare, banking/finance, gaming, cannabis, and alcohol industries in complex default-regulated litigation, bankruptcy, and foreclosure matters. In the cannabis industry, he advises and represents businesses, licensed growers, processors, and retailers of medical and recreational marijuana. Recently, Mr. Silvestri played an integral role in securing an arbitration award of $2.8 million for Westgate Resorts in an arbitration matter styled, NAV-LVH, LLC v. Exhibit A Circle, LLC .
Mr. Kemper focuses in the area of labor and employment law.
