GREENSPOON MARDER CELEBRATES THE OPENING OF ITS NEW OFFICE IN DENVER WITH A RECEPTION AND WORKSHOP ON IP IN THE CANNABIS INDUSTRY
DENVER, CO – March 28, 2017 – The law firm of Greenspoon Marder is celebrating its continued expansion in Colorado with an opening reception for its new Denver office and a workshop surrounding intellectual property in the rapidly growing cannabis industry on Thursday, April 6.
The interactive discussion will address patents, federal trademarks and protecting intellectual property as it pertains to the cannabis sector. Following the discussion, the Greenspoon Marder team will conduct a workshop to assist attendees in filling out Colorado’s trademark application. The workshop, beginning at 3 PM, will be held at the Four Seasons Denver. The opening reception will follow at 6 PM at Greenspoon Marder’s new Denver office at 1410 Lawrence Street, Suite 1900.

Speaker Rachel Gillette, a shareholder at Greenspoon Marder, has represented state and locally licensed marijuana and hemp businesses in Colorado since 2010. Rachel Gillette focuses her practice on marijuana/cannabis business licensing and regulatory compliance, business law and transactions, contract drafting and review, civil litigation, corporate formation, and tax matters, including audit representation. Through her current work with cannabis and hemp businesses in a highly regulated industry, Ms. Gillette remains committed to ending the prohibition of cannabis at the national level and ensuring state licensed and legal marijuana businesses are fairly taxed and regulated.
Justin McNaughton, a registered patent and trademark attorney, is a member of the Intellectual Property practice group at Greenspoon Marder. His practice focuses on areas such as copyright law; commercial contracts and technology licensing; biotechnology and life sciences; and entrepreneurs and startups.
