Miami, FL – November 19, 2019 – Greenspoon Marder Senior Counsel, Matthew Ginder , and Of Counsel, Francis Suarez , will be featured speakers at the Florida Priorities Summit , presented by the Miami Herald on November 19th . The Florida Priorities Summit will discuss the important policy issues that lawmakers will face in the next Legislature and discuss real solutions to recommend to Florida’s elected officials. Mr. Ginder will speak on the “Health Care” panel, which will address if cannabis in health care is an economic boom in Florida. Amy Driscoll, Editor, Politics and Health Policy at the Miami Herald; Ann-Marie Wong, Medical Marijuana Physician; and Nikki Fried, Florida Agriculture Commissioner, will speak on this panel as well. Mr. Suarez will speak on the “Transportation” panel, which will discuss whether Florida needs a state-wide transportation plan. Mary Ellen Klas, of the Miami Herald and the Tallahassee Bureau Chief, and Senator Manny Diaz Jr., District 36, will speak on this panel as well.
Matthew Ginder is senior counsel in the Cannabis Law practice group at Greenspoon Marder. Mr. Ginder represents various cannabis and hemp related businesses where he assists in many areas of the industry, including licensing, regulatory and compliance, and business transactions. He also represents ancillary businesses who provide products or services to the cannabis industry and advises individuals, investors, lenders, startups, and large corporations on direct and indirect participation in state-legal cannabis markets.
Francis X. Suarez is of counsel in the Corporate and Business practice group at Greenspoon Marder. Mr. Suarez has more than 13 years of experience in real estate and corporate finance, covering the gamut of clients’ real estate needs, from acquisitions and financing to sales and joint ventures.
