Overview

Matthew Ginder is senior counsel in the Cannabis Law practice group at Greenspoon Marder.  Mr. Ginder represents various cannabis related businesses assisting in many areas of the industry, including licensing, regulatory and compliance, and business transactions.  He also represents individuals and entities interested in investing in state legal cannabis businesses.  Mr. Ginder co-founded and manages a nonprofit organization called the Organization for Safe Cannabis Regulation (OSCR), which advocates on behalf of cannabis related businesses in Florida.  He is frequently sought after to comment on the medical marijuana market and has been quoted extensively in several well-known publications, including Fortune, Reuters, and Law360 to name a few.

Prior to joining Greenspoon Marder, Mr. Ginder worked for a national law firm where he focused his practice on defending broker-dealers and registered representatives in securities related cases filed in federal and state courts, as well as FINRA arbitration proceedings. Additionally, Mr. Ginder represented individuals and entities in commercial disputes involving real estate, investments, and construction.

While in law school, Mr. Ginder clerked for two global law firms where he assisted in the practice of estate planning and commercial litigation.
